Industry practitioners from resources sector, government agencies and leading experts will share their experience and help delegates increase certainty and efficiency in approval processes and walk through the regulations which are being reformed.
Steven Peart is currently the Manager Planning and Approvals with Cockatoo Coal, a position held since September this year.
In his current role, Mr Peart is responsible for managing environmental risks, regulatory approvals, and project planning associated with Cockatoo Coal’s coal mining and exploration projects in NSW and Qld.
In Mr Peart’s most recent role, he was the Environment & Community Relations Manager on the Moolarben Coal Greenfield project in Ulan NSW. In that role, Mr Peart successfully contributed to the development a strong environmental culture throughout the workforce.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, Mr Peart contributed not only to the Moolarben Coal’s environmental performance, but also in the disciplines of safety, strategic planning.
Having received a Bachelor of Environmental Science at Newcastle University, Mr Peart's career has included environmental management roles with a number of bluechip mining companies in NSW.
